A Memorable Moment

“As an educator for Great Lengths USA, I had the incredible opportunity to work with a young woman in remission after undergoing chemotherapy. She had lost all of her hair during treatment and was now in the early stages of regrowth. Like many in her position, she was eager to feel like herself again - and adding hair extensions felt like a meaningful step in that journey.

She was also preparing to write an article about her experience, and our meeting was originally arranged as part of that story. What began as a single appointment for the purpose of sharing her story, quickly turned into something much deeper. Helping her see herself - not the version shaped by illness, but her true self - was a moment neither of us will ever forget. We both cried.

She stayed on as a client, and I was honoured to guide her through the often awkward, grow-out phase, eventually transitioning to using extensions just for added fullness. Watching her confidence return, little by little, has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
