Rossano Ferretti

Often referred to as the world’s Hair Maestro, Rossano Ferretti is the co-creator of the globally renowned Ferretti Metodo Cut, which he developed in 1989 with his sister and Artistic Director, Lorenza Ferretti. This method revolutionised the way hair is cut and styled moving away from rigid, uniform and geometrical techniques to a more fluid, tailored approach using specially designed Rossano Ferretti scissors, that enhances the natural fall and movement of each individual’s hair. Today, it’s globally renowned as the Invisible Haircut.

Rossano also led the skinification movement in hair care—long before it became a trend. He was among the first pioneers to integrate advanced skincare technology into hair formulations, applying the same respect and science used in premium skin treatments to nourish and protect the scalp and strands.

Rossano’s unmatched expertise lies in crafting personalised beauty experiences. His mastery of movement, texture, and facial architecture is reflected not just in his exclusive haircutting technique, but in every formula and service that bears his name.

At the heart of his philosophy is the Rossano Ferretti Scuola in Parma, an invitation-only training program based in the brand’s birthplace of Parma, Italy. This elite programme is where the world’s most talented hairstylists are invited to learn the Ferretti Metodo Cut, world of colour, hair spa treatments and the Metodo Philosophy. With a rigorous curriculum spanning several months, trainees are immersed in Rossano’s world of precision, artistry, and client-centric beauty. Upon completion, they earn the title of Rossano Ferretti Hair Artist and go on to work in one of the brand’s exclusive hair spas around the world.
