The latest Rossano Ferretti salon opened in September 2017 inside the legendary Hotel de Paris in the Principality of Monaco. No doubt about it, it is a very prestigious hotel and some say the most elegant hotel in the world.
City of sun, fame & fortune and beautiful hair
During our free time we discovered a little bit more about this tiny and gorgeous city, which is normally known for the Casino, the Grand Prix and the rumours about the Grimaldi family, the oldest ruling house in Europe.
The Principality of Monaco is the second smallest country in the world (the smallest one is the Vatican City) but there are many things to do and to see. So we asked Rossano to help us by telling us some interesting things about this city.
Here we go with Rossano’s special tips to discover Monaco:
Rossano, which is your favourite restaurant here in Monaco?
“I love the Maya Bay, it's a perfect “ japanese meets thai” style in a fancy and exclusive environment, with impeccable service and great drinks in a cool relaxed atmosphere. If you like to indulge yourself with simply the best, then go to Joël Robuchon’s restaurant at the Hôtel Metropole or come to where my salon is located, the Hotel de Paris, and have an unforgettable dinner at its restaurant Le Louis XV, where the chef is no less then Alain Ducasse.”
What about your favourite hotel?
“The Hotel de Paris is one of the most iconic hotels in the world, also the reason why I chose this location for my salon. It has just undergone a major refurbishment, keeping its spirit with a touch of modernity”.
And your favourite cafe?
“For a nice glass of wine by the water, I recommend the Wine Palace - just below the Yacht Club de Monaco - which offers a great selection of wines by the glass. In the evening, though, I prefer the American Bar at the Hotel de Paris, where they offer a great selection of whiskeys, the authentic Belle Epoque style, with live music makes me feel like I am travelling through time”.
Which are the things you most like to do in that city?
“The Mediterranean sea has magical hues of blue and there’s nothing I like more than strolling on Monaco's Ocean front from the Larvotto beach all the way to the Monaco Beach Club”
Maybe you can also tell us where do you like to go shopping?
“Shopping in Monaco is all around the Carré d'Or. My favourite boutiques, from Loro Piana to Hermès, are all around the Casino square, while the Metropole Shopping centre offers all other shops one might need”.
Can you also tell us some cultural place to visit?
“Monaco Oceanographic Museum is definitely a must, the collection accumulated over the years by the Grimaldi family is fabulous and the building now also offers some great art exhibitions, linking natural history and art”.
Is there anything else you love about the city?
“I appreciate the fact that I can walk everywhere and everything is very accessible. Monaco is also very exclusive: privacy and discretion is a must, which is something very important for me and my clients”.
What about the perfect Monaco hairstyle?
“Well, of course, our hair stylists at the salon will get the right look for anyone, by understanding and interpreting each person's unique personality and hair needs. Also if they are going out at night and don’t have time to go to the salon, then they can achieve a gorgeous natural wave look for their hair by styling with the Favoloso Hair Movement Enhancer. It’s very easy to use and creates a natural refreshed look by invigorating the hair to create more volume and movement."

We are really thankful to Rossano for his precious advice and if you come to visit the city, we hope you will appreciate Monaco as we do.
Finally, one tip from the editorial staff: don’t forget to seize the occasion to learn something more about a real fashion icon related to this city. Any idea?
"Yes, for sure, we are talking about Grace Kelly, an elegant and classy woman truly loved by the people of Monaco adored all over the world.
If you would like to learn more about the real tale of a beautiful American actress marrying Prince Rainier III and becoming a princess... There are a lot of books you can cast a glance too, such as Grace Kelly (A Life in Pictures) by Pierre-Henri Verlhac, Hardcover or High Society: The Life of Grace Kelly by Donald Spoto, Paperback!
Alternatively, if you’re more into films than books, don’t miss Nicole Kidman interpreting the princess’ life in Grace of Monaco, the biographical drama directed by Olivier Dahan."
