It is the story of Rossano Ferretti, an Italian born hairstylist who completes three generations of hair heritage.
Born into a world of hairdressing, Rossano followed in his family’s footsteps and created an empire that is recognised for its premium hair spas and designer haircare products. The result, our haute-couture brand: Rossano Ferretti Parma (RF).
In the beginning…
Rossano’s love for hair runs blood deep. As a child, he was influenced by his grandfather, a barber who did house calls on his Lambretta, and his mother and grandmother who ran a small salon in his home village of Campegine. Suffice it to say, “hair” comes naturally to Ferretti and his journey towards establishing our brand was ignited by true passion.
Delighting in his childhood and drawing inspiration from the magnificent Italian landscape, Rossano soon had an urge to make great strides. In the mid-1970s, when he was just 15 and without knowing a word of English, he went to London to study hair design. His dream was to create a timeless style that would encourage individuals to embrace their unique natural beauty.
“When I was 12, I would sell my paintings to my professors. I always had a sense of harmony and beauty, and aesthetics and colour.”
Building an empire…
When Rossano arrived in London, he attended the Sassoon Academy for just one week before being offered a job by his teacher, but he couldn’t accept. This was because from this point, he decided to travel the world instead to conquer the swinging fashion scenes and set his scissors to the heads of celebrities, supermodels, royals and the rich and famous. Wherever he went, he left his clients in awe.
Enveloping himself in brilliance and culture, Rossano continued to improve his hair knowledge and soon became renowned as a “hair maestro”. His exclusive haircutting technique called “Metodo Rossano Ferretti” emerged while he was working for an Italian TV Show, Nonsolomoda, and this is where his popularity gained traction.

This revolutionary haircutting method was the first step towards offering his clients a unique and bespoke experience.
Opening his first salon…
Living up to his aspirations, Rossano established his first salon in Parma, Italy in 1990. The salon is located in a historic building on Republica street, one of the most important streets in the city. When the hair maestro first opened this seemingly discreet salon, industry members doubted its success – “it will never work…” – they said.
Little did these naysayers know that this quaint hair salon would become one of many famous luxury hair spas frequented by the world’s most elite. Rossano believes that when you have a vision, you undoubtedly have to prove its success. Once accomplished, your vision then becomes an example, inspiring others to follow their visions and dreams too.
He tells us: “Talent alone without consistency is absolutely useless!”
Continuing with his family heritage…
Together with his sister, Lorenza, iconic hairdresser and teacher herself, Rossano has turned his vision into a new era of cutting. A fire that sparked more than 3 decades ago has progressed into a blaze of brilliance.
Rossano and his sister have created a path for those who aspire to become talented hairstylists and architects. Each year, our brand invites 8 passionate and talented trainees to learn the secret behind “the method”. This allows us to enhance the individual beauty of every client, customising each haircut according to the hair type and the characteristics of the unique person.

Fast forward to today, RF has expanded to include more than 20 internationally acclaimed hair spas in locations such as Paris, Barcelona, Bali, Maldives, New York, Milano, Geneva, Dubai and Monaco to name a few! Each hair spa is luxuriously tranquil and caters to individuals who want to be treated to a serene journey experience that leaves them feeling beautiful in the hair and skin they are in.

The brand has also since released a line of premium natural hair care products that draw inspiration from the rich Italian landscape. In fact, the luxurious collection of products were originally only available in Rossano Ferretti Hair Spas, but after winning numerous hair & beauty awards worldwide, Rossano decided to launch the collections online, making them available globally to all hair passionistas.
Each formula, meticulously hand-crafted by the world’s leading hair artisans, using innovative skincare technology, is vegan, cruelty-free and includes wholesome natural ingredients to nourish and protect hair without the use of harsh chemicals. Rossano has also partnered with Save the Children, a charity close to his heart, where we donate 5% of all online product sales.
