The holiday party season is upon us! A carefully-curated outfit regardless of whether you’re staying in or going out deserves party-perfect hair to match. Whether you are attending a sophisticated soiree, a work holiday party or just a quiet gathering at home with family, our Rossano Ferretti Hair Artists have put together their favorite go-to party hairstyles, just for you!

But before we dive into our party hairstyle inspiration, here is our first important tip…

No matter your hair type or texture, it is important that you start with the basics, and that’s healthy hair! If your hair is in optimal health then it will make styling so much easier, not to mention faster! By adopting the right haircare routine, you can say addio to hair damage caused by heat styling or environmental factors, and you can prevent hair from feeling weak and brittle which is so often the case this time of year.

The elegant chignon

For a sophisticated look, you can never go wrong with a classic chignon. Perfect for evenings out or polished daytime occasions, this classic style combines smooth texture with soft movement, creating an effortlessly chic look that never goes out of style.

You will need:

STEP ONE: Start with dry hair and work Vivace Dry Shampoo Crème into the roots to refresh and add light texture.

STEP TWO: Mist Favoloso Texturizing Spray through the mid-lengths and ends to create soft grip and gentle hold.

STEP THREE: Lightly smooth the top section with a brush to keep the surface neat yet natural.

STEP FOUR: Gather the hair low at the nape, keeping a relaxed softness at the crown.

STEP FIVE: Secure into a low ponytail, but on the final twist of the hair tie, pull the hair only halfway through to form a loop.

STEP SIX: Take the remaining loose length and wrap it around the base of the ponytail, tucking the ends neatly underneath.

STEP SEVEN: Secure the chignon firmly with bobby pins, crossing them for extra hold. Gently adjust the shape for a smooth, elegant finish.

The beehive ponytail

Recreate this sleek and timeless style, the perfect way to show off an embellished dress or draw attention to an intricate neckline.

You will need:

Straightening iron (We recommend Gama Professional)
Bobby pins
Velluto Straightening Serum
Vivace Dry Shampoo Crème
Brillante Protect & Shine Oil

STEP ONE: Apply Velluto Straightening Serum before you begin your blowout and straighten hair to help smooth frizz and flyaways. Then, start by sectioning your hair, leaving two small pieces free at the front. Divide the back of the hair horizontally into two and clip the lower section into a ponytail.

STEP TWO: Using a tail comb or your fingers, lift the top section of hair at the back of your head and gently massage one or two drops of Vivace Dry Shampoo Crème into the roots. This will add shape, grip and volume to your beehive hairstyle so it has a solid base.

STEP THREE: Take a small amount of hair from the top section and backcomb it to add volume and create a subtle dome shape. The more volume you can add here, the bigger your beehive will be! Gather the teased section towards the back of your head and secure into place with bobby pins.

STEP FOUR: Place the rest of the hair into a ponytail, below the beehive section. Select one of the loose sections from the front of your hairline and bring it towards the back of your head, gently wrapping around the base of your ponytail and securing place with a bobby pin. Repeat with the other side.

STEP FIVE: Add a finishing touch with Brillante oil to create luster and shine to your ponytail.

The glamorous waves

Fulfil your red-carpet fantasy this holiday season by opting for these gorgeous tumbling loose waves. The ethos of glamour, these cascading waves will add an extra level of exquisiteness to your statement look. Partner deep wavy hair and glossy allure to create a wavy hairstyle that epitomises super-feminine bravura.

You will need:

Curling wand
Wide tooth comb
Glossy High Shine Bundle featuring Dolce Satin Glow Booster and Brillante Protect & Shine Oil

STEP ONE: Blow-dry hair straight using the Dolce Satin Glow Booster to add a velvety and silky finish to the hair. Straight hair that is hydrated and soft makes for easy curling.

STEP TWO: Create your desired parting then section hair from crown to ear. Take a one or two inch diagonal section of hair and starting from your roots wrap around your curling wand. Curl hair away from the face. Avoid overlapping hair on the wand – we recommend wrapping around the top and then working your way towards the bottom of the wand.

STEP THREE: Repeat the curling process until the whole head is complete. Take care to section evenly and ensuring no spare strands are left out!

STEP FOUR: Once the hair cools down, gently brush through using a wide tooth comb to separate the curls into loose waves.

STEP FIVE: Finally, add a few drops of Brillante Oil to add shine and luster, concentrating on mid-lengths to ends.

STEP SIX: Add a clip accessory if desired to elevate your finished look with a touch of holiday elegance.

The low bun

Perfect for second-day hair or if you’re simply short on time, the low bun is chic & effortless. Complete with glossy face-framing waves for a chic look.

You will need:

STEP ONE: Spray Favoloso Heat Protector onto damp hair and blow-dry using a round brush for a smooth, soft finish with natural movement.

STEP TWO: Create a horizontal part from ear to ear, separating the front from the back, and clip the front section away.

STEP THREE: Apply a small amount of Favoloso Style & Shine Pomade to smooth flyaways and gather the back section into a low ponytail at the nape. Secure with an elastic.

STEP FOUR: Unclip the front section and softly pull it back, blending it into the ponytail for a seamless shape. Secure with pins if needed.

STEP FIVE: Split the ponytail into two equal parts. Twist each section around itself, adding a touch of Favoloso Pomade and a drop of Brillante Oil for shine and control.

STEP SIX: Wrap the two twisted sections around the base of the ponytail in opposite directions to form a soft, textured bun. Pin securely, tucking the ends neatly underneath.

STEP SEVEN: Gently loosen sections at the crown for a natural, elegant shape.

STEP EIGHT: Smooth the front pieces with a drop of Brillante Oil for a shiny, polished, long-lasting finish.

The wrap-around ponytail

Never underestimate the power of a ponytail! Our favorite is a texturized ponytail with voluminous waves, but this style can look equally beautiful with polished, straight locks.

You will need:

Curling wand
A tail comb
Grandioso Volumizing Spray
One elastic
Favoloso Texturizing Spray
Hair accessory (optional)

STEP ONE: Spray a little Grandioso Volumizing Spray towards the root and blow-dry hair backwards, away from the face to set the foundation for lift and volume. Proceed with styling hair into loose waves using a curling wand then comb through to create gentle waves.

STEP TWO: From the front, take about an inch of hair from each side of a middle parting. These strands will elegantly frame your face. Gather the rest of your hair into a medium-high ponytail, ensure it aligns with the middle of the back of your head. Secure with an elastic.

STEP THREE: Taking one inch of hair from the side of the ponytail, wrap around the base of the ponytail to cover the elastic and secure in place with bobby pins.

STEP FOUR: Spray Favoloso Texturizing Spray on the lengths of the ponytail to add texture and movement and finish off with a few drops of Brillante Protect & Shine Oil on the ends for added shine and smooth tips.

STEP FIVE: Adjust the face-framing strands to your liking. You can let them fall naturally, tuck them behind your ears, or give them a slight curve with a curling wand for added flair.

The cord-twist ponytail

Channel timeless sophistication with an accessorised ponytail, a sleek and polished style that captures the essence of modern glamour. Perfect for holiday soirées or elegant evenings, this look blends smooth texture, lustrous shine, and refined detail. The wrapped cord adds a couture-inspired finish that turns a simple ponytail into a statement of effortless luxury.

You will need:

Dolce Satin Glow Booster
Favoloso Heat Protector Spray
Favoloso Style & Shine Pomade
Prodigio Regenerating Oil
Medium curling wand or tong
Brush and comb
Elastic
Cord or ribbon
Bobby pins or U-pin

STEP ONE: On damp hair, spray Dolce Satin Glow Booster for slip and frizz control, followed by Favoloso Heat Protector Spray.

STEP TWO: Blow-dry hair smooth with a brush, then create soft waves using a medium tong or wand, curling sections away from the face. Allow hair to cool before gently combing through.

STEP THREE: Warm a pea-sized amount of Favoloso Style & Shine Pomade between your palms and glide over the hairline and crown to smooth flyaways and create a polished surface.

STEP FOUR: Gather hair into a low ponytail at the nape and secure with an elastic. Check both sides for balance and smoothness, brushing where needed.

STEP FIVE: Work one to two drops of Prodigio Regenerating Oil through the ponytail, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends for a hydrated, glossy look.

STEP SIX: Attach a bobby pin or U-pin to one end of your cord or ribbon to help guide it. Push the pin under the elastic to anchor the cord securely.

STEP SEVEN: Wrap the cord neatly around the elastic several times until it’s fully covered, keeping even tension for a clean, refined finish.

STEP EIGHT: Lift a thin strand (about 1–1.5 cm) from the left side of the ponytail and pass the cord under and over so it sits gracefully on top. Repeat on the right side.

STEP NINE: Continue alternating left and right, spacing each wrap evenly as you move down the ponytail for a sculpted, elegant twist.

STEP TEN: Once you reach your desired length, slide the pin through the centre of the ponytail to tuck the cord’s end inside. Add one or two bobby pins underneath to secure it in place, trimming any excess cord.

STEP ELEVEN: Mist a little Dolce Satin Glow Booster over the ponytail for a luminous, satin sheen.

STEP TWELVE: Finish by smoothing any flyaways with a touch of Pomade on your fingertips for a sleek, long-lasting result.

Quick Tips

If hair is very silky, lightly mist a texture spray before wrapping to help the cord grip.
For extra sleekness, smooth the surface with a soft brush after completing the twist.

The soft updo

Favoloso Heat Protector Spray
Prodigio Regenerating Oil
Medium curling wand
Round brush
Bobby pins
Comb or soft brush

STEP ONE: Apply Favoloso Volumizing Mousse from roots to mid-lengths for natural lift and body.

STEP TWO: Prep hair with Favoloso Heat Protector Spray, then blow-dry using a round brush to create fullness and bounce.

STEP THREE: Use a medium curling wand to create soft, loose waves. Allow them to cool completely.

STEP FOUR: Leave out a few delicate face-framing strands, then gather the rest of your hair into a loose ponytail at the crown.

STEP FIVE: Take small sections, around 2–3 cm wide, twist or loop each one, and pin toward the crown using bobby pins placed in opposite directions for extra hold.

STEP SIX: Keep each pinned section slightly loose to build soft, natural texture while maintaining volume at the crown.

STEP SEVEN: Once all sections are pinned, smooth the surface with your fingers or a soft brush for a polished, natural finish.

STEP EIGHT: Add a few drops of Prodigio Regenerating Oil to the face-framing pieces for a silky, radiant glow.

The twisted ponytail

Favoloso Volumizing Mousse
Favoloso Heat Protector Spray
Favoloso Texturizing Spray

Bobby pins or thin elastic

STEP ONE: Apply Favoloso Volumizing Mousse to mid-lengths and lightly at the crown for lift. Spray Favoloso Heat Protector before blow-drying with a round brush for smooth volume.

STEP TWO: Create loose waves with a curling wand to add gentle movement.

STEP THREE: Part your hair down the centre or slightly off-centre.

STEP FOUR: Divide the back section of your hair into two even parts.

Curling wand (25–28 mm)
Wide tooth comb
Small elastic

STEP ONE: Apply Favoloso Heat Protector Spray to the lengths of your hair.

STEP TWO: Create waves with a 25–28 mm wand, curling away from the face. Allow them to cool, then loosen with your fingers or a wide tooth comb for soft, flowing texture.

STEP THREE: Part hair in the centre or slightly to one side, leaving the lower half down. Optional: keep face-framing strands loose.

STEP FOUR: From each side (temple to behind the ear), take 2–3 cm sections, twist them back, and meet at the back of the head.

STEP FIVE: Secure the twists together with a small elastic.

STEP SIX: Gently tug the twists and crown area to add soft lift and volume while keeping the surface smooth.
